A severe fuel shortage in Nepal has led to fewer vehicles in service, and more vehicles are carrying far more passengers than they should. Nepal often sees tragic incidents like this one because of its many winding roads. In 2013, 30 people also died after a bus plummeted hundreds of feet after hitting a pole on the side of the road.
